Gloria Ferrer Caves & Vineyards

Gloria Ferrer makes you feel like you’ve stepped out of your normal life and into the life of someone who just sits and sips bubbles all day (we’re into that). We intended to stop for a quick tasting, but ending up staying much longer than expected enjoying the staff’s company, the breathtaking views, delicious snacks and satisfying wines. We were first drawn to Gloria Ferrer because of a time old marketing tactic - the billboard. We had one winery to visit in mind that specialized in still wines but once we saw the sign, thought, bubbles are always a good idea and changed our plans.

We immediately were seated on a gorgeous patio with sweeping views of the vineyards that make you question whether you’re less than an hour away from a city. We felt like we were on vacation. We were greeted by our amazing server, Adrian, who was incredibly sweet. Immediately, between him & the angel who appeared out of nowhere with arguably the best olive oil we’ve ever tasted, Cecilia, we felt like this was no longer a place we just came to for the first time, but rather a local spot where everybody knew our names. For a place so divine, it still holds an incredibly warm, welcoming and casual feel.

The drive to the winery is lined with their vineyards and olive trees from Tuscany so once you make it to the point where you get to taste both the wine and the olive oil, it’s pretty incredible to realize it was all crafted from this property. We learned about that, saw part of the harvest process happen in a cave, were surprised to learn that there are about 44 million bubbles in each bottle of champagne during our tour & much more. We enjoyed the Blanc de Noirs, Sonoma Brut, Royal Cuvée and Pinot Noir - all of which were absolute delights. As Gloria herself says, “You look beautiful with a flute in your hand.” Cheers!
